SARIN is an electronic music & multimedia performance project originally hailing from Canada. SARIN has had over a dozen releases on vinyl, CD & cassettes in the past few years under his solo moniker and with his other collaborative projects since transitioning from his audio/video art background. These releases have spanned across various labels such as [aufnahme + wiedergabe], BITE, X-IMG, B.F.E., Khemia and more. Besides his solo project Sarin, he performs as Nostromo (with Unhuman), Konkurs (with Blush Response) and Human Performance Lab (with Matt Cangiano). He’s also the founder of X-IMG, a vinyl & cassette label engrained with his a/v roots. The sound of Sarin can be described as a blend of abrasive drum programming and brutally minimal bass lines paired with dystopian cut-up style sampling of media detritus, invoking spirits of militant body techno fetishists of before.
